It's only Rock n Roll but

WE LIKE IT !

Sarah had been invited by a friend to hang out in their box seats for this concert. The rest of us were AOL. Katie gave Sarah some money and asked her to get her a Areosmith tee shirt.

Then, my manager at work had bought the tickets to take his son to the show but he got called out of town on business, soooooooo . . . . he gave the tickets to ME

Katie and I also went to the Toyota Center in downtown Houston to see Lenny Kravitz and Areosmith. Katie took back her money and bought her OWN tee shirt.

Poor Linda had to stay at home all alone with nothing to do except take baths, watch TV and read. Somehow she managed.

Quote of the night:
When the concert was over, even though it was about midnight, Katie and I went to waffle House for some after concert breakfast (and it was a school night). On the way home Katie looks at me and says "you know dad, I like seeing old bands and eating at the waffle House afterwards with you"

Sarah and her friends

This past week the school had a breakfast to honor the top 10 percent of the graduating senior class. Sarah graduated Magna Cum Laude, she was #33 out of 789. Sarah has been friends with most of these girls since first grade. In fact, 4 of the 7 girls in this picture were in Sarah's 1st grade home room, as was the Salutatorian. Not to shabby. We are very proud of her and her friends too. They are all good kids.

By the way, Sarah is the one smiling, happy with her accomplishments and ready to move to the next level. Oh, I guess that doesn't narrow it down much.

Do you know this cutie pie?

The paparazzi caught her putting together her latest ensemble.

That little button nose looks familiar . . .

NCL

This was a big NCL weekend. Linda and Sarah have been participating for 6 years, Katie has been involved for 4 years. This weekend was Senior Presentation, quite the event. Think Texas debutante ball and cotillion. If you click on the little picture at the top the web site will give you more details on the organization.

In a nutshell it's
"To foster mother-daughter relationships in a philanthropic organization committed to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences"

more info an pics to follow

We are talking extra fancy

Sarah is 5th from the left on the bottom row

She looked very pretty

Friends and Family

Our family from Florida few in to be with us. This is Patty (Linda's sister) on the right and Emily Patty's daughter on the left. Patty's oldest daughter Leanne also came in for the event but hid behind the centerpiece for this picture.
Our good friends Stuart and Jannis also joined us. Stuart is not really looking at the camera, he is looking just behind me where the waiter is bring us our chicken.
This picture was taken before the event when the smell of stress, fear and estrogen was in the air. Linda of course was the perfect mom.

No more stress

Each girl had an "escort" who had various duties including flinging the girls around the dance floor

At times the dance floor was transformed into an impromptu mosh pit with the participants screaming out what sounded like an African dialect all in unison . . . Something about . . . dinner rolls
No alcohol was served - honest
